Return & Refund Policy

At BonoBuilt, every piece is handcrafted from real hardwood with careful attention to detail, durability, and design. Because wood is a natural material and many of our pieces are made-to-order, each item is unique and may contain natural variations in grain, color, figure, and texture.

We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and want you to be confident in your purchase.

Custom Orders & Furniture

Custom furniture, custom cutting boards, and made-to-order pieces are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or refund.

This includes:

  • Custom dimensions
  • Custom wood selections
  • Personalized design requests
  • Commissioned pieces
  • Any item built specifically for a customer

Because these pieces are handcrafted specifically for you, natural variations in wood grain, color, figure, knots, and mineral streaks are expected and are not considered defects.

If your custom piece arrives damaged or there is a craftsmanship issue, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery and we will work with you to make it right.

Ready-to-Ship Items

Unused ready-to-ship items may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused and in original condition
  • The item must be returned in original packaging when possible
  • Proof of purchase is required

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued after the returned item has been received and inspected.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the product
  • Photos of the packaging and shipping box

Retain all original packaging until the issue has been resolved. Once reviewed, we will determine the appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, partial refund, or full refund depending on the situation.

Natural Wood Characteristics

Wood is a living natural material and no two pieces are identical. Variations including but not limited to:

  • Grain pattern
  • Color tone
  • Curl or figure
  • Knots
  • Mineral streaks
  • Small seasonal wood movement

...are normal characteristics of real hardwood and are part of what makes each piece unique. These natural characteristics are not considered defects.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care is important to the longevity of handcrafted wood products. Damage caused by:

  • Improper cleaning
  • Dishwasher use
  • Excessive moisture
  • Extreme temperatures
  • Improper storage
  • Neglect or misuse

...is not covered under this policy. Care instructions are provided to help preserve the beauty and longevity of your piece.
