NATURAL BEAUTY : CELEBRATING WOOD GRAIN
There are countless, present and past, extremely talented artists in this world, but it’s my opinion that the greatest artist of all is nature. Scenic landscapes, colorful super blooms, geometric patterns in plants, have all been subjects of some of the most skilled artists in history, yet they are (seemingly) effortlessly, naturally made by nature.
This uniqueness is one of my favorite qualities of wood, I like to think of the natural grain patterns as nature’s fingerprints. The stunning shapes, patterns, and designs are endless, uncovering a highlighting this beauty never fails to challenge and amaze me. Swirls, cathedrals, curly, birds-eye, medullary rays, quilt, spalting, knots, feather, and burl, are just a few of the many descriptors used to try and convey the unique qualities of wood.
As an added benefit you can find a wood color to match any decor, no stains necessary. Colors range from any shade of brown, near white, black, red, purple, green, yellow, and more. The warmth and timeless character that wood brings is second to none.
In my work I take great pride in celebrating this natural beauty. I hand select every board that I use for projects. I do my best to arrange each piece to highlight the wood’s unique characteristics. Wood has a timeless quality that never goes out of style. Whether your decor is traditional, rustic, or modern, incorporating wood elements can add an elegant touch that withstands passing trends.
